A message from the Chairman                                                   7th Sept 2020

Firstly, as we approach a return to competitive football in the coming weeks for our junior sides, I wanted to thank all our players, parents and members for continuing to support our club through what has been a really difficult period for everyone, and to welcome on board new members to our nursery section. It will be fantastic to have normality back to all of us, when the whistles blow for kick off on the new season, and we can look forward to that soon.

I will say that we do have to be careful in these challenging times though, and now more than ever, it is important that we continue to follow the health guidelines, that have been laid out by the FAI in conjunction with the HSE, to be vigilant in regards how we approach football and supporting our teams with regards to COVID, by continuing to observe the regulations of Hygiene / Social Distancing / Communication of Illness. We have our own COVID officer in place, Daniel English, who is available to contact if anyone has any issues. By following these guidelines, we can all do our bit to ensure that we can maintain playing football safely and continuously until this is all over.

Lastly, we have all been through the up and downs of the last six months, and has been great to get back to training and playing football, as there is nothing better for the minds and wellbeing of players and parents and committee members, than to have a thriving football club on our doorsteps for the community. And on that note, I want to thank the members and the wider Corduff footballing family for their more than generous support over this last challenging year. We have had fantastic financial support and donations for several charity events i.e.

- Senior section fundraiser for Jigsaw D15 Youth Mental Health Services

- Kit Sponsorships for teams

- Individual training kit sponsorship donation from a community member for some of our young players

- Sponsorship to replace the stolen Camera Gantry

- Fundraiser to support medical bills for one of our players

This to me, really shows how important Corduff Football Club is to our community, as we couldn’t function without this, and we are so thankful and look forward to your ongoing support into the future.
