With regards to our recent communication on Membership Renewal for the upcoming 2021/22 season, we wish to reiterate the following information.

Firstly, back in May our Chairman Stephen Morley sent a message to all members regarding the plans for the club. – This is now freely available to read on Clubzap.

It outlined the medium to long term vision for the Club as a whole. We would encourage all members to read through this, so we are all aligned on the future for Corduff F.C. before the new season begins.

As outlined in the message, we held our A.G.M. in March of this year. This meeting was held via Zoom and an invitation to attend was sent to ALL members. This annual meeting goes into much detail on our incomings & outgoings for the previous year, as well as planning for the year ahead, among other things.

There is so much that goes on behind the scenes, so many decisions to make, financial, footballing matters, admin matters etc and most members appreciate this and understand the decisions that are made are made for the best of the members and the club.

Football may have stopped for the last year, but our outgoings did not. For reference, annually, renting the Sports Centre Astro costs us as a club almost €16,000. It is the highest expense we have as a club. Also, maintenance of our pitches, this is our second biggest expense at over €10,000 per annum. That’s €26,000 before we consider training equipment, insurance, League Fees, Director of Football fees, Coaches training and development, along with countless other costs.

We frequently review our Membership costs. We check what other local teams are charging, as well as ensuring we maintain a level that is correct for us as a Club. Even without the discount being offered this year, our main fee of €195 is still the lowest in the area. (fees in other local clubs range from €265 to €400).

For clarity, we are offering a discount of €55 to parents for the first child renewal, €45 for the second and as always, the third and subsequent child is free. See examples below:

Example 1: If you paid in full last year for 2 children, you would pay €255 for two children for this season. (€140 renewal for first child and €115 for second child)

Example 2: If you paid in full last year for 1 child & this year you will have a child entering U8s as well, you will pay €300 this season. (€140 renewal for first child & €160 new membership for second child)

Example 3: If you had 1 child in the club last year and now this year you will have 3, so 1 renewal and 2 new children, you will pay €300. (€140 renewal, €160 new 2nd child and 3rd child FREE)

Before, during and after these times, our Membership costs wont be beaten. We know we offer the best value for money for any club in the D15 area and we stand by our costings for this season.
